How to Use Facebook to Generate More Real Estate Leads

As a real estate mentor, I meet a large number of real estate agents with diverse career aspirations and goals, but there’s one thing they all share — they all want to leverage the reach of social media and use it to find more leads. The problem is that most of them think they if they build a Facebook page, clients will just pop out of the woodwork. And when they don’t, they insist that Facebook is an ineffective lead generation tool for real estate agents.
I am here to tell you two things — first, no, just building a page on Facebook won’t produce any leads; and second, Facebook is an amazing breeding ground for real estate leads if used correctly.
There are certain ways to generate leads on Facebook that you must learn to build a rewarding Georgia real estate career. These include:

1. Socialize on High-Traffic Walls

Socializing as your business page on high-traffic Facebook pages and groups is one of the easiest and most economical ways to gain more exposure on Facebook and generate more leads. Facebook pages of Zillow, Century 21, HomeFinder, and Trulia are visited by a large number of prospective homebuyers and sellers. By maintaining a presence on these pages and socializing with people, you can establish your identity as a reliable real estate agent and win more leads.

2. Share a Viral Post

A viral post is any piece of content that generates a great deal of attention and response in the form of likes, shares, and comments. While viral posts offer great lead generation potential, there is no magic formula or step-by-step guide on how to go viral. To capture the attention of your prospects and increase your likelihood of going viral, you should post things that you think your audience will find interesting or funny.

3. Post Landing Page Offers on Facebook

This is one of the best ways to generate leads on Facebook. All you need to do is come up with a compelling offer, such as a free home-buying guide, a moving checklist, or a 5-minute consultation with a real estate agent and post it on your Facebook page. Make sure that you create an interesting caption and add an image to attract more prospects and capture more leads.

4. Add a Call-to-Action Button to Your Page

This is a pretty simple yet very useful feature that you can add on the top of your Facebook page to capture more leads. Facebook offers you a number of pre-made button options, such as ‘Contact Us’, ‘Send a Message’, or ‘Sign Up’. Select one that best suits your business and the preferences of your target audiences.

5. Host a Contest or Giveaway

Everyone loves winning. Not only do contests and giveaways increase user engagement, they can also help you capture more information about your prospects. Just like a landing page offer, you will be required to develop a form that your prospects can fill out to participate in the giveaway.
